CASILLAS EXCITED FOR BARCA MATCH

The goal keeper of Real Madrid, Iker Casillas, has said that he is desperately waiting for the match against Barcelona in the Supercopa Championship. Real Madrid will play against Barcelona on Thursday at Camp Nou.

In the last year’s Super Copa championship, Real Madrid was defeated by Barcelona by 5-4, but, as per Casillas, the players are determined to take the revenge of that defeat and hopefully, the team would be able to defeat Barcelona this time around. The Spanish skipper said that Madrid and Barcelona are the two best teams in the world at the moment. The players of both the teams love to play aggressively and the upcoming match is going to be a thriller.

However, Real Madrid didn’t make a very good start to the new season and the team didn’t manage to defeat Valencia in its opening game. Both the teams scored one goal each and the match ended in a draw. Casillas looked quite disappointed with the result of the match. He said that the Madrid players created more opportunities and the team deserved to win that match, but, unfortunately that didn’t happen and the team wasn’t able to get all the three points.

In the match, Casillas collided with his team mate Pepe. On being asked whether he has injured himself due to that collision, Casillas said that it was a nasty collision, but, fortunately he didn’t get injured and neither did Pepe. That collision helped Valencia to score the leveler. Casillas went down after the collision and Jonas Oliveira put the ball into the goal post easily.

On being asked who is better between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Casillas said that there is not much difference between these two players. Both are great players, but, if he has to pick one, he would definitely pick Ronaldo. As per Casillas, he has seen Ronaldo very closely in the last few years and he is aware of his phenomenal abilities. So, he would rank Ronaldo above Messi.
