JOVIC ON SEVILLA RADAR - REPORT

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is one of the attacking options on the transfer shortlist at Sevilla ahead of the January transfer window. The Real Madrid star is said to be an alternative to Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial in the event that the Spanish La Liga side can't prise the Frenchman away from his club. Martial has already told new Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick that he wants to leave the club and the French attacker has been linked with a lot of clubs. Apart from Sevilla, Italian team Juventus and Premier League team Newcastle United. Real Madrid player Jovic is not the priority for Sevillaas Martial is ahead of him in the queue.

Fichajes revealed that Sevilla want to signJovic who signed for Real Madrid from German Bundesliga outfit EintrachtFrankfurt two years ago. Since his move to Spain, Jovic has not been able to replicate the form that prompted Real Madrid to pay around €60m for him.

Jovic has played second fiddle to French international Karim Benzema since his move to Real Madrid in 2019. The Serbian footballer has been reduced to a bit-part role at Real Madrid and he has failed to take the chances that came his way. Jovic has shown signs that he's starting to turn the corner in recent weeks as far as his Real Madrid career is concerned. He has one goal and one assist in 13 games for the Spanish La Liga leaders in all competitions this season.

Sevilla manager JulenLopeteguihas Rafa Mir as his only central striker option with Moroccan star Youssef En-Nesyri scheduled to represent his country at the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in five cities across Cameroon. Apart from Martial and Jovic, other Sevilla striker options include Joselu, Julian Alvarez and Mariano Diaz.
