Paul Pogba’s agent talks up Manchester United exit amid Madrid link

The representative of Paul Pogba has said that the midfielder wants to head through the Manchester United exit door this summer. The Frenchman was heavily criticised by the fans for the average showing during the closing months of the previous season and he has since admitted that a new challenge could be an option.

Speaking to The Times, super-agent Mino Raiola said that the Frenchman has the ambition to move on from the Mancunian giants and he is working with the necessary parties to fulfil the same, he told: “Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul's wishes. Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We're in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”

Eden Hazard insists he has joined Real Madrid at the right point of time

Belgium international Eden Hazard believes he has chosen the right time to link up with Real Madrid. The 28-year-old had been regularly linked with a move to Los Blancos during his time at Chelsea and he eventually took the challenge this summer after deciding against a new long-term deal with the Blues.

Speaking in a press conference, Hazard acknowledged that there was strong interest from Los Blancos last summer but he opted to stay put with the Blues instead. He added that he had a good campaign by his standards and believes he has picked the right time to make the switch to the Bernabeu, he said: “After the World Cup there was contact but I stayed at Chelsea for another season. I think it was a good decision. We won the Europa League, it was a good campaign personally, and I just think it was the right time to join Real Madrid.”

Willian admits potential for disappointment with Eden Hazard’s switch to Madrid

Chelsea winger Willian has acknowledged that he would be very sad, should Eden Hazard make the move to Real Madrid this summer. The Belgium international has flirted with the prospect of joining the outgoing European champions in the past year or so and he could be headed to the Bernabeu this summer amid the ongoing contract standoff with the Blues.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Willian said that he has no idea with regards to the future of Hazard, who has 13 months remaining on his current deal. However, he added that he would be very sad, if the playmaker ultimately parts ways with the club, he said: “We don’t know what is going to happen. But what I can say is, if he goes I’m going to be very sad.”

Zidane hints Gareth Bale could be heading out of Real Madrid

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has hinted that Gareth Bale could be heading through the exit door after dropping him from recent matchday squads. Chris Smalling insists Manchester United nullified Barcelona’s threat

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has spoken positively about the performance of Luis Suarez following the Blaugrana’s 3-0 win at Real Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final. Arsenal manager Unai Emery has dismissed the recent speculation which has linked goalkeeper Keylor Navas with a potential move to the club. The Costa Rica international had recently dropped a transfer hint by saying goodbye to the Real Madrid fans on social media and he has since been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, speaking ahead of the FA Cup game against Blackpool, Emery clarified that the speculation is far from true with the club making no contact with the experienced goalkeeper. He added that he is pleased with the current choices between the sticks, he said:"I don't know. We never speak about one goalkeeper because I think - and it's true - we are very happy with the three goalkeepers we have now. We've never spoken about Keylor Navas."
