Paul Parker says Manchester United won’t benefit from Gareth Bale transfer

Manchester United legend Paul Parker has said that his former won’t necessarily benefit from the signing of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid in January. The Wales international has managed just two goals from 13 appearances for Los Blancos this term and of late, he has been the subject of immense criticism from the club’s supporters, who want him to head through the exit door.

This has led to speculation that he may pursue a fresh challenge at the turn of the year and United, who have been one of the long-term admirers, have been fancied to make a possible move for his services. Speaking on The Star, Parker said that Bale won’t transform the Red Devils’ league fortunes and he added that his injury concerns don’t make him a worthwhile signing.
