Zinedine Zidane delighted with third-league win on the bounce

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has expressed his delight after Los Blancos registered a third successive league triumph. The Bernabeu giants have experienced another mixed start to the season but they have still remained unbeaten in the Spanish La Liga, where they are currently leading the standings.

Against Osasuna, Zidane chose to go with a young looking midfield and frontline as he opted to ring in the changes but that did not hamper the performance with Junior Vinicius and Rodrygo scoring in a 2-0 triumph. Speaking after the game, Zidane said that he was delighted with the efforts of the young duo but the most important thing was to come out with the win.

“I'm delighted with the goals for Vinicius and Rodrygo, you could see just how excited they were to score at the Bernabéu. The most important thing is what we've been doing for a long time now. Everything takes time. We're top but that doesn't mean anything. The important thing is that we continue on in this vein. We need to believe in what you're doing and keep working with the same energy. You're going to have tough spells during a season but we've got to be happy tonight,” he told.

Los Blancos have registered four wins and two draws from the opening six league games and they are currently one point ahead of Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid at the top of the table. They are scheduled to face Atletico on the road during the forthcoming league clash and the game should prove a tricky one for them. Atletico have had a couple of disappointing performances at the early phase of the campaign but they did have the better of Real Madrid during pre-season. Atleti secured a 7-3 triumph over Los Blancos during the summer with Diego Costa netting four goals before getting sent off.
